Kirsten Nordland, granddaughter
I am a freshman at West Lafayette High School in West Lafayette, Ind., and I'm already an artist, just like Granddad. I've already created a few books with my friends; I do most of the drawing. I also play softball year round now and enjoy singing in choir. I'm glad Granddad and Grandma live nearby. We have fun going to plays, the Chicago Art Museum and fancy dinners. Even the not so fancy dinners are fun. Sometimes he gives me good advice, but I don't always take it. Here's one he wrote when I was born, and another when I started school.
